Paintings are copies of the original painting, printed with the high quality inks on and stretched on high quality canvas.  The artwork is a gallery wrap which means that it continues around the side of the piece and that the staples holding the canvas to the stretcher bars are on the back instead of the sides.  This way, the artwork can be displayed with or without a frame.
